Malay Medicine
The dried leaves can be used as insects repellant by warding off insects. In case of stomach ache, the essential oil is rubbed for comfort. In local community of Malay, the plant is known as - serai wangi. It is in the family of Gramineae.
It is can be called as citronella grass. It is arching leaves and overall vertical form subtle opposition when planted near bushy or rounded shrubs and flowers. Cymbopogon nardus is a clump-forming tropical grass, the clump increases in size as the plant matures.
The genus of Cymbopogon is a genus of 55 species, habitat to warm temperate and tropical region.
