Roses in traditional medicine

Many roses have been used in herbal and folk medicines from millennia. Chinese traditional medicine uses rose to treat stomach problems. Scientists are now investigating them for controlling cancer growth.

In addition to its pink flowers, sweet briar rose is highly valued for its scent and flavorful hips that persist well into winter.
